Try browsing the Audio Portal under Heavy Metal. Try sorting by Author or Date. This might take a day's worth of browsing, but pick two or three stand-out tracks, or tracks that were made recently, within one year.

Once you have a few metal musicians singled out, check out their profiles, write some PMs about your idea, and follow up if they reply. This sure as hell beats writing a single post in your profile about the subject because the odds of a musician seeing this is next to nil. If you want a commercial project done right, you got to learn how to network.
