u made me lol like a little school girl teehee =3

can you maybe make a tutorial like part 2 but with more complex characters ^^ and maybe some tips on shading, blurs and background
^^ thanks any shortcut would make my day

p.s. also maybe sound effects and syncing music better ^^; sry

Sure. No problem. Sound is very important.

Ur gonna inspire a lot of animators. U made a tutorial fun.

WILL U BE MY VALENTINE :P

It works!!!!!!!!!!

I'm beginning to understand flash! I salute you good sir!

Never jump to CS4 from flash 8 without understanding wtf you're doing in the first place. Thats the only Advice I can add :P

will you teach us how to draw eddosaurs?

There's an easier way of making symbols accelerate in tweens. After you create your tween, select any frame between point A and point B and go to the properties pane. You should find 'ease' followed by a value. If you set the value at 100 (ease out), the symbol will start quickly from point A and slow down when it gets to point B. If you set the value at -100 (ease in), the symbol will leave point A slowly and stop abruptly at point B. Combining them both during a single tween makes the motion seem more realistic (and increases your awesomeness level +1).

You can do the same for flipping your symbol. Flash has a weird way of calculating rotation in a tween, but you can help it along if you tell Flash what you want. Select any frame in your tween and go to the properties pane. Where it says 'rotate' select the direction you want the symbol to flip: CW (clockwise) or CCW (counter-clockwise). You can even tell Flash how many times you want it to spin during the tween. And that's all there is to it!

Awesome videos Ed, can't wait to see more.
